How SELVO Offload Changeover Switches Ensure Reliable Power Transitions

SELVO offload changeover switches play a crucial role. When it comes to managing power distribution and ensuring reliable operations,  These devices allow for the safe and efficient transfer of electrical loads between different sources. In this blog, we will discuss its types and explore the specific features and technical specifications . .

SELVO presents the comprehensive range of general purpose offload changeover  switches that have wide application in all industries where the individual system requires safe and reliable transfer of power from main supply to standby supply and vice versa using side operating handle
These are available in various current rating range and are manufactured under stringent quality control to maintain quality standards and exceed customer expectations .

OFFLOAD CHANGEOVER SWITCH TYPES

These devices are applicable for single phase and three phase power systems . For single phase they are known as double pole offload changeover switches and for three phase they are known to be four pole offload changeover switches . Lets discuss each type and the current ratings available .

Double Pole changeovers

This is basically applicable for single phase power supply . It is used in every  region where any trouble for power cut exist . This device is better preferred , time delay is provided while transfer the power from main supply to standby supply .This avoid any surges or sparking which can occur due to sudden connections of onload changeovers . It ensures flexibility in operation , ensures continuity of power supply and are durable solution .

Four Pole Changeovers

This is basically applicable for Three phase power supply . It is used in every  region where any trouble for power cut exist . It is mainly used where heavy load applications are present , like in factories , substations , hospitals , universities .

The above wiring diagram is for reference purpose only .

The wiring entry and exit will take place through the conduit knockouts given on both side top and bottom of enclosure , The wiring will be done in this manner as showing in wiring diagram . The earthing terminals is also provided from where the earthing connection be done .
The U type shape is of copper material which is responsible for connecting with load blocks or terminal blocks . they will engage with terminal blocks in stronghold manner using operating handle .

SELVO KNIFE TYPE FOUR POLE CHANGEOVERS

SELVO presents the aesthetically designed wide range of KNIFE TYPE OFFLOAD CHANGEOVERS SWITCHES . These are manufactured precisely as per the industry standards so that it operates efficiently and meet expectations . These are used for heavy load requirements .

The working principle is similar like of general four pole changeovers as discussed above , only the components design is different , the copper contacts are of heavy guage and are in knife shape . It ensures safe and reliable transfer of power from main supply to standby supply such as generators and vice versa using side operated handle . This avoids surges or sparking and ensure continuity of power supply . In the images below it is described about construction part and component used in the manufacturing of these devices .
